So in today's blog, I shall be giving you a brief overview on whats important for a smartphone selection and how to beware of marketing gimmicks and focus on whats really important. Today, you will see all sorts of fancy Smartphones and Specifications and almost every brand will have hundreds of Smartphone models. I don't understand why not make something really good once every year and market it through the whole year.
Anyways first I will tell you that, don't always believe in High End Specifications, of smartphones as just a few prove to be really good ones. I know many of your would believe that , what I am saying is Tech Youtubers covering Product Demos are talking truth. I think they are just being paid by brands, or sponsored videos to help their channel grow and the brand as well. You as a consumer never try and use your head in making smartphone decisions.
I think one thing definitely all you Motorola Fans would agree that Lenovo destroyed one of the best Moto brand. No I dont mean otherwise, but in the chipset department. Motorola would earlier launch good devices and they would be a few, but after Lenovo acquisition you see all sorts of Motorola phones popping up every 4-5 months. And sadly most of them use MediaTek Processors! 😏
So just in case those are confused as to why most Chinese companies except for Xiaomi primarily opt for MediaTek processors as they are pretty cheap, but not all MediaTek processors underperform. Some of them in the top notch phones like above 25,000/- budget are good. But the ones below the 20,000/- INR brackets, obviously will have compromises. MediaTek btw is a Taiwanese company, not Chinese. If you seriously are looking for good performing phones whether low or high end, go for Qualcomm Snapdragon or Exynos Processors as they are one of the best in Cutting Edge Technology.
Sad part is that we always look for budget friendly things but never go through the specification of Chipset while making smartphone choices, just because the phone has high end specifications. Just to let those know whats an SoC , which is used almost everywhere . SoC is basically System on a Chip- Stuff like the chipset, graphics card, audio etc everything is on one single physical chipset. This helps smartphones to be able to run as capable as a Desktop or a Laptop would run. So thats why most Qualcomm SoC's and Exynos Processors made by Samsung outperform the likes of MediaTek Processors.
A personal suggestion from me is when looking to purchase a smartphone, please dont go for brands like VIVO, OPPO lol They seriously need some hardware makeover. Its always not about the looks. Whats inside also matters. If you feel anything I mention here is incorrect feel free to put your feedback in the comment section. I believe if we share knowledge you and me both can definitely help make better smartphone decisions rather than going for marketing gimmicks.
