How close does the Pixel look to the iPhone 6S: Lets find out!

So the Google Pixel had launched in in 2016 somewhere during October, and I was more than excited to get my hands on the Pixel, but I had a heart break when I saw the price. I am ready to spend 60+ grand on an iPhone but not any other phone because I know how good an Apple Product is.

However, Google's first very own branded phone did not disappoint at all, because it has all you need in a Great Android Smartphone.  In terms of the User Experience, the phone's build quality, the design its all just too close to the iPhone 6S. If I keep my Google Pixel and iPhone 6S side by side, you can fail to recognise which one is the Pixel. I think Google could have worked on this more.

Both the smartphones look absolutely identical to each other on the front except for the fact that the iPhone has its Home Button, which is replaced with a big chin on the Pixel. I felt that space could have been utilised alot by having lesser bezels. A distinguishing factor on the pixel from the iPhone is that the Pixel's camera is placed towards the top left whereas the iPhone's is beside the earpiece. The proximity sensor on the Pixel is situated in the middle, whereas for the iPhone its right in the top middle So that is something that will different the two.

Coming to the sides of the phone, the Pixel has a flat design on the sides, whereas in the iPhone you can see the aluminium body curving the way all along the sides. The sim card trays are on opposite sides in both devices, but the power button is on the same side. The iPhone in addition has a toggle switch for the silent mode which is one of the coolest features a phone can have. Not every now and then you want to be going into the software to turn the phone silent.

When you come to the bottom of the phone, you have a microphone and a speaker grill on the pixel, which has issues, at high sounds. And accompanying the grills is the USB type-c slot right in the middle. I prefer the use of USB Type-C in this device. In case of the iPhone you have the speaker grills the thunderbolt jack and the headphone jack below. The headphone jack is on top in case of the pixel.

We now move towards the back of the phone, which is where the major difference comes in. You can spot the stylish design of the Pixel here easily. It has a glass only section on the top part which supposedly was provided to get better network coverage. However it can easily be cracked, so be careful of that. The best part is the fingerprint scanner location, but it kinds of disturbs me because on my Pixel the fingerprint reader is on the back but on the iPhone its on the front . The branding on the Pixel with the G logo is at the bottom whereas on the iPhone its on top. Both have same camera positions but the Pixel's camera performs extraordinarily in low light conditions.

All in all, if you go and compare, both phones cannot be compared obviously from the software point of view, but in terms of the design, there are lot of similarities which just cannot be ignored. If you do spot something that I have not covered in this blog, feel free to put a comment, il update it in my article.
