The all-new Motorola X4 was launched in September 2017 at IFA , Berlin. You will notice that most of the Moto Series of phones have started to look alike. The X4 resembles the G4,G5 and the G5S more or less. There was a time when customers would anxiously be waiting for the best Moto X phones to be out in the market, this is when Motorola was not owned by Lenovo.
It comes in with a 5.2 Inch FULL HD display, that is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, with 3GB/4GB RAM variants along with 32GB/64GB storage variants. So where does this specification really fit today? The Moto G is more or less as powered as the the X4 , and the Z2 is ahead of this. So why has Motorola/Lenovo launched this line up. It just does not make any sense at all.
The X4 comes in with dual - cameras, one is with a dual autofocus at F 2.0 aperture and the other is a wide angle lens at F2.2 aperture. The latter has a 8MP shooter and the former a 12MP. One cool feature about this phone is that it is water and dust- resistant, IP68 certified and comes in with a 3300 MaH battery that we saw on the Note 8. Battery life, here would be much better than the Note 8 because its not as powerful as the Note 8 is with heavy duty multi-tasking.
I think this is absolutely one of those phones you should not go for, considering the pricing this model will be priced probably a little below the Z2/Z2 play and above the G5/G5S. It makes much more sense to go for the G if your low on budget, and the Z2 if you have more to spend. The X4 for its specifications does not stand out. Its a thumbs down from my side.
